Baiting and trolling seems to be the name of the game around here. Its happens to me and I've done it to other but nobody seems to be offender except for the moderators. They make the rules so I can't argue. I do find it hysterical that I received an infraction for

Larry was calling people in DC bozos, you called him specifically a bozo. Big difference; amazing that you can't differentiate. Stating a forum member has a few screws lose is the same deal.

Calling forum members commies is trollish and insulting behavior. Larry has his been given his final warning since there's been one other more blatant instance which I rebuked him for. Attack the idea and not the person you're having the discussion with. Infractions will start racking up after this.

Also, let's not forget rule 13.

Final thought: it seems that 2 of you are sarcastically hinting at baiting another forum member, which is trollish behavior. Since we have proven intentions here I'm seeing a pretty open and shut case of trolling going on in this thread, and will discuss with the other moderators on any disciplinary action. We really don't like people who intentionally make our volunteer jobs harder.

5. Infraction System

This forum uses an infraction system to penalize violations of the forum rules, to track ongoing violations, and to ban multiple offenders. The infraction system is the primary way of moderating the forum, however, the moderators reserve the right to supersede the infraction system and take whatever actions are deemed necessary to settle a specific situation.

Operation of the System:

There are two types of penalties - warnings and infractions. Warnings do not have any points associated with them. Infractions are usually worth 1 point and expire 6 months from the issuing date. If 5 points are accumulated by a member, a ban is automatically issued by the system. The ban will remain in effect until the first infraction expires and the point count drops to 4.

Some infractions carry more than one point. Any disrespect to a moderator, whether on the forum, or via PM will carry a minimum of 3 points. If the disrespect is serious, the member may be banned permanently.

So just to be clear here. If I say something like "you liberal commies...." I'm OK. But if I say "YOU are a liberal commie", I get a black mark of some sort. Is that the case? If it is, so be it. I'll pick my words carefully.

I wouldn't bet the farm on it.....

Interpretation of that rule has always been sort of unpredictable.

Just an observation, made over a number of years. Not meant to be a dig at the current moderator team, who, I think, do a pretty fair job. It's just the way it is.....

That would be accurate.

There is no "interpretation", unless you're unable to comprehend.

You are perfectly free to insult anybody who is not a member of the forum...........although blatant insults to the President will probably not be tolerated.

Incessant insults toward the opposition will also be stopped as the only possible reason for putting them forth is to troll.
