Better not to serve than sign up and go AWOL like a certain recent ex-prez!!! Not serving isn't a shooting offense. Desertion and dereliction of duty are.

I remember the Gulf War from 1991. President Bush the Elder told the military to deal with the situation and then he went off and played golf.

Every time a reporter would shout a question at him he would pretend to not hear it and then announce he was off to play golf.

Bush was trying to make a point to the whole world with this: The President of the United Stated is the Commander in Chief of the US Armed Forces; he does not fight in the war himself. He makes political decisions that serve the interests of the United States, and if Military force is required then he tells the Military to carry out his orders. This the Military does and if they did not they would be assuming the position of making a political decision.

This right wing weirdness of all Obama did was tell to the Military to do their job and this is a bad thing is is just grabbing at straws in an attempt to justify their own fantasy that Obama is not a good President. I guess they could read the US Constitution and discover what the job of the President is, but if they did they would likely come back with 'That is not a valid source'.

Sorry, but this line of thought is just looney.

There's no President in the history of the US that has ever been listed as AWOL during military service. Care to back up your statement with fact?

The difference between George HW Bush and B.O. is that George 41 PROVED himself in aerial combat. B.O. has never proved that he could so much as run a hamburger stand. NO executive experience or military experience AT ALL!

Convincing some in here the BO doesn't walk on water is impossible.

Here's a good view of what B.O. looked like while at the same time, the guys of the same age with enough guts were fulfilling their military service.

Pictures of Barack Obama and Rick Perry at the age of 22

I wonder what kind of cigarette that was between his fingers? Whatever it was, he sure seems proud of it.

It's not too hard to sit around under the secret service protection & bark approval for the REAL heroes to do their job!

So all Presidents who make decisions regarding military actions are cowards?

Forget it. His kind only respect knuckle-dragging clowns who don cowboy hats and act all folksy. Intellectual expression is feared by those who can't relate to it.

I guess that you'll be voting for Perry this time? Or do you just have a strong adoration for that image?

So he has done something more than learn to read off of a teleprompter

Do you realize how irrational your posts are?

Yes, I'm sure that to a liberal, my posts sound as irrational as the liberal posts sound to me.

As if it's any of your business, I will most definitely NOT be voting for Perry in the primary. If by some quirk he were to get the nomination, I will hold my nose and vote for him in the general election.

I will vote for ABO (Anyone But Obama) in the general election.

Not after they have previously proven themselves as having enough courage to serve in the military.
