I'll disagree with that, it depends on the woman.

About a decade ago I read an article by a psychiatrist about what women want. There was only three things. Any thing that a woman wants would be definable as belonging to one of these three subsets.

In the following decade I started paying attention to all of the women around me and in my life and realized this guy really knew what he was talking about. Now its not as simple as "if I have X all women will want me" All women are unique and you first have to understand how these three things apply to each individual which is why I disagree with the previous assertion about confidence. Most importantly though, you have to know what the three things are........

At the risk of starting a post war, let me make some suggestions to our younger members.

When you are out at a party or what ever, never go after the hot chick. Every guy with cards on himself is going to do that.
Its an ego thing.
They end up going home by them self.
Scan the room looking for a quiet potential.
Its ok if they smoke! I was once told if they are prepared to put poisons into their body they are less likely to be concerned with your intentions.
Believe it or not the average girl is actually hoping that an average guy will show interest in them.
Best just be yourself. It does work !!

I do have to agree with this.. no girl is going to find confidence a turn off. Excessive cockiness/douchebaggery sure... but that usually points to general insecurity IMO which some, not all, girls can pick up on.
