Garage door opener and lights
I have a Chamberlin Garage door opener with 3 button wall control unit (door open/close, light and lock). I am getting ready to redo the power and run lines for new lights in the garage. The PO put the opener on a switched power supply (don't ask because I don't know).
I would like to be able to trigger the lights that I will be hooking up with the door opener. As it it now I can turn the lights on that are attached to opener with the previously mentioned light switch and they are automatically triggered by the opener when the door it opened or closed. I want to hang four 4-6 ft florescent and have these lights triggered by the door opener and the little light switch by the house to the door. I assume if this can be done I will need to get some sort of outlet that has a power switch on it that can be triggered by the door opener. Not even sure where to look or what to look for. Can this be done? Any ideas?
