Driving gloves that you would recommend?

I have an old pair of driving gloves that have finally worn out. I'd like to buy a new pair. Any suggestions about what to buy and where?

Even though I live in Arizona, I still wear driving gloves to warm my hands when the winter is here (I know, this is Arizona) and to protect my hands when it is 115 outside and the UV Index is at 10.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I still have a pair of Jim Clark driving gloves. I think Griots sells them now.

Remember, if the glove doesn't fit,
you must acquit.

Thanks! Especially for the OJ link...

The Jim Clark's are nice (and pricey). Nomex look good, too (lower cost)...

I have been buying deerskin work gloves and using them to drive in year round. They are an unfortunate yellow color so you look like Goofy with them on but they are like another layer of rather thick but supple skin. They are cool in the summer and warm in the winter and I wear them now year round when driving. They are available at places like farm supply places and cost between 10 and 20 dollars.

Goatskin is not too bad either but not as nice as the doeskin.

+1. Deer or goatskin is the ticket. Riding gloves are usually thinner and fit tighter than work gloves but either will work. Fancy schmancy name brands appeal only to brand conscious gits with more money than sense. The feed/tack store is your friend. I wear goatskin for riding as it's thinner than deer, but either will work. Got a Tractor Supply near you?
