WHAT A GRETA FORUM. First time user. I have an S280 140 SERIES my pride & JOY. THE CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM NO LONGER OPERATES AND MY AUTO SPARKY ADVISES PUMP bOSCH 0132 0063 MB PART NO 1408002848 REQUIRES REPLACEMENT AND EBAY HAS THIS PART AVAILABLE FROM THE USA. AND iS IDENTICAL TO THAT USED IN THE s320. SINCE THE PUMP DIED MY AIR CONDITIONING UNIT HAS FAILED IN THAT IT NOW ONLY BLOWS HOT AIR ABOVE THE WINDSCREEN AND NIL THROUGH THE VENTS AND NO COOL AIR AT ALL. COULD THERE BE A LINK BETWEEN THE VACUUM PUMP AND THE AIR SYSTEM THAT IS CAUSING MY A/C PROBLEM MANY THANKS 4 ANY HELP TONY AINSWORTH [email protected]

You are best asking these sort of questions in the technical forum. It sounds like your vac pump is shot. I think an electronic vac pump from just about any MB about the same age as yours will fit or can be made to fit. My brothers C280 has one in it out of an E class.
I dont think the aircon is related to the central locking on these. Best replace the vac pump & see what happens!
There are decond hand ones about if you go looking.
