This whole "Soros" thing with the right wing reminds me of "Hate Week" in 1984. We are supposed to hate this man, yet none of these right wingers seem to be able to tell us why? WTF? If a thousand super-rich zillions pass out the money to the GOP political machine its like, ok and "good", yet if one happens to do the same for the Dems, he's like this evil, shadowy figure. Soros is doing the same damn thing this guy is doing:

and it is perfectly legal. If one looks into the man, one finds Adelson wants greater support for Israel and preferential treatment for the gambling industry. Soros wants to further the political ideas of the Social Democratic movement of Europe in the US. Fine with me. I'm a voter in the US, millions of other voters in the US think like I do, and we all think the US is a socially unjust country. Last time I looked at the COTUS, that was called "free speech". So tell us all, why is Soros some "conspiracy" figure to you? Because Glenn Beck told you he was? Why? Here is your quote:

The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States. This is a harsh — indeed, for me, painful — thing to say, but unfortunately I am convinced it is true. The United States continues to set the agenda for the world in spite of its loss of influence since 9/11, and the Bush administration is setting the wrong agenda . The Bush agenda is nationalistic: it emphasizes the use of force and ignores global problems whose solution requires international cooperation. The rest of the world dances to the tune the United States is playing, and if that continues too long we are in danger of destroying our civilization. Changing the attitude and policies of the United States remains my top priority.

I believe what he says, like most typical Democrats, and I believe that Barack Obama has done a lot to change that situation, and like a lot of Americans, will vote for Obama for his success in undoing the damage of the inept Bush Administration, an administration that put our world wide reputation down the crapper. What is it that you find "evil" in this statement? I commend Soros for saying it, and I commend Obama for doing something about it, and most of all, commend Hillary Clinton for doing such an excellent job implementing it. Now, if you could find me something Soros says that points to some great conspiracy....... Oh, you can't, can you? And can you tell me what is inaccurate in that statement at the time it was made, about the Bush Administration? I bet if you read that on the street, nine out of ten Americans would agree.
