Patterns

I notice that whenever somebody appears to challenge Romney's ascendancy that suddenly a bunch of negative press about the challenger surfaces and then there's a corresponding increase in threads here that are critical of the challenger.

Anybody for some Koolaide?

The good news is that the pattern gives you another opportunity to be judgmental of others here. Of course, what you perceive as Koolaid drinkers might be nothing more than people commenting on the latest developments in the GOP primaries. I have heard of that sort of thing happening before.

Actually, it's less sinister than Botnst portrays. It's only when a candidate "surges" that more attention is paid to that candidate. Witness the cycles of Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Newt and now Santorum. It's a movable feast, yes?

Same data, multiple explanations. How does one determine the parsimonious explanation, much less the 'right' one? Hell, it could be that multiple explanations are at play simultaneously.

Nevertheless, there is the pattern.

It's more sinister than I could possibly explain it.

Pass the foil.

Seems to me that when Romney digs up dirt on the idiots we talk about it. When the idiots say something stupid we talk about it. When Romney says something stupid we talk about it and when the other idiots dig up some dirt on this idiot we will talk about him as well. I fail to see a pattern. Perhaps you could bre4ak down this supposed pattern you see. I seem to recall us being just as critical of Romney. I am pretty sure there would be a general consensus that he is a douche. Perhaps not as big a douche as the others but that may be like saying gonorrhea is better than syphilis.

That has to be one of the most hilarious summations of the current candidates I've read yet.

Read up on Mormons and how they do anything within their power to further their cause, and you'll find your answer. It's important for them to have one of their own as POTUS so that it brings acceptance of their cult as a religion.

These people are nuts...they wear magical underwear, think that the men, if he follows the edicts and laws of the cult by coming up through the ranks, and live a certain life, that they will become a god of their own planet and have many wives. Their earthly wives are nothing more than baby makers that hope to be the most important, lead wife of their new god, their earthly husband.

This belief has spread to roughly 1.5% of the American population, and 14.1% of the world population believing as they do, and they give 20% or more of their income to further the spread of the belief to the church.

The church is the single largest land owner in Nebraska, has a large population in Iowa, as well as many in the Appalachian region.

I lived among these nuts in Utah. They are diligent at keeping non-believers from gainful employment in their communities, as they are generally the owner/operators of most businesses in their communities. If you aren't one of them, then you are kept out. There are questions they ask, ones that are easy to notice if you are looking for them, that signals the opposing person to answer in such a way as to identify them as Mormon as well.

Knowing the above, anytime Romney is attacked, the machine churns out so much negativity about them that it smears their name in the press...and everyone knows that if you hear enough negative things about someone, even if they are lies, that the uneducated on the topic will believe them.

That's my take on the subject...

How is this any different from the other cult members who have been or want to be POTUS? Quite a few of them have tried to force their religious beliefs on the rest of us. Only difference being that some of their cults are more widely accepted than the Mormons are. Santorum wants to make us a Christian nation. Gingrich wants the same or to turn the nation in to a brothel. I'm not sure which.
