ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=5zNwOeyuG84

Quote:
“This week it was Secretary of Defense Panetta’s declaration before the Senate Armed Services Committee that he and President Obama look not to the Congress for authorization to bomb Syria but to NATO and the United Nations,” Tancredo writes. “This led to Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., introducing an official resolution calling for impeachment should Obama take offensive action based on Panetta’s policy statement, because it would violate the Constitution.”

Gee... preemptive impeachment. What a great idea.

The future crime cops love it.

Why would any president bring the issue to Congress without having a consensus of their allies?
Unless their name was Bush, and they gave not a whit about our country's reputation and our relationship with the rest of the world.

Walter Jones is a whore. Recall he coined the term "Freedom Fries" at the start of the IRAQ war to ridicule the French efforts to sabotage the invasion an keep their Iraq contracts.
Recall also, Jones (who was a once a Democrat and sits in the seat once held by his father, iirc) was the first Rep. to publicly criticize the IRAQ war, or to vote against some Bush bill.

Him introducing a bill to impeach Obama is a joke. A stunt.

He represents the NC 3rd district. Heavily military. Ft. Bragg, Camp LeJeune and Seymore Johnson AF base as well as thousands of retired military are in his district.
It's all about politics.... and which direction the wind is blowing today.

Ever heard of concurrent war powers? Many wars have been wage without congressional approval, and the notion that ONLY the congress can wage war is simplistic and arguable.

Korea anyone? Don't tell me that wasn't a war. I lost 2 uncles.

They can't pass a budget but they find time for this? Has their approval rating hit single digits yet?

This is a good news, bad news situation. The good news is that this is the sort of foolishness that probably hurt the GOP in November. The bad news is that House Republicans have shown that they are willing to set aside what's good for the country in their pursuit of a Democratic president. They did it before and there would be nothing anyone could do if they chose to do it again, because as Gerald Ford said: “an impeachable offense is whatever a majority of the House of Representatives considers it to be at a given moment in history.”

That sounds cynical, but it is exactly right under the Constitution, although the Senate gets the final say after the House is done with its impeachment.

Sigh.

America's lust for ever more war, bombing and disproportionate military intervention just continuous. It will impoverish this country to a mere fragment of itself.
Ofcourse, the pockets of some will be swelling like mutant fish heads in one of those science fiction flicks.

I'm gonna quote myself:
Ofcourse, if the eurozone collapses, the Dollar will continue to rule supreme.

Bonehead liked the way the Clinton impeachment turned out so much that he's cheerleading to do it again with Barack Hussein Obama.

I like the way, much like Limbaugh fell prey to, you have to grovel on the floor for personal attacks.
You should be held up as an example for your party to honor.
