Screen Door Closers
I need to put two of these into a house with matching steel screen doors, sorta heavy, as they double as light duty security. Neither are sprung, the owner wants me to do this as his tenants have dogs and he's worried that they're scratching at the door, wanting to be let in. The steel doors could take the abuse.
I've had mixed results with screen door closers. Some too cheap, others not bad. When I want a really soft close for an inside door, I use the type with the semi-large hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder thingy. I love that whisper quiet close. I hope to avoid this here, not a good fit for it, but I need to slow them somewhat, as the weight of these things would bang too loudly if not restrained. Anybody know the Daimler of the screen door closer continuum?

I've used two, one high and one low for heavier applications.
Never found a brand that seems any better than others, but I really don't mess with those things very often.
