I went commando for a while in college until getting a tender part caught in the zipper....

It's ok if you wear button flies though.

Boxers because when I use to wear briefs and get a boner, it looked like I was wearing a thong.

They're as supportive as briefs, but not near as binding. BVD brand has been one of the most comfortable for me, as the waistband doesn't cut into my waist, like briefs do.
