What motorcycles do you like??

I like the Honda Goldwing best.

Here are some bike sites, just to help.

What exactly about the Goldwing appeals to you?

I like my Kawasaki. If I was rich I'd have a Ducati Monster. I got pulled over week before last by a cop on a BMW R1200RTP. I thought the bike was pretty sweet. The speeding ticket he wrote me, not so much.

The design mostly. Plus the fact that the top-line model has an airbag.

I prefer bikes that have dirt-bags.

An airbag on a motorcycle is like granny panties at a topless bar. Just ain't right.

All that would serve to do is give you the impression that you might be safer, not actually make you safer at all.

Bikes are fun, but there is no sense pretending its less dangerous than it is, and its not the single bike direct line accidents you have to worry about, its other traffic looking to smash you to bits through inattention.

I prefer smaller nimbler bikes than the goldwing, and older models generally.

My favorite commuter bike was an 85 honda shadow. Shaft driver, liquid cooled, external oil filter, and vtwin motor, it was like a mini Harley, and as easy to maintain as you could believe.

Had a sissy bar that the girls liked.

Gave em up though, was almost killed by a boogie board coming off someones roof, and realized how silly it would be to have cause of death be a "bright pink foam childrens boogie board, impact to face, caused operator to lay bike over in heavy elevated highway traffic, subsequent squishing by multiple cars"

I love my '01 Yamaha FZ1. Its not the best at anything but it is a 9 out of 10 at everything. As a "sport touring" motorcycle it has decent upright ergonomics and is often joked to be a "couch rocket". It has a capable suspension with adjustable preload, compression and rebound stock. It's 145hp, 1 liter, 5 valve per cyl engine is damn near bulletproof. With me on it, it comes to 4lb/hp Given that its not all wrapped in plastic, its a pretty good looker too.

"If I was rich--A duke MONSTER??????

I used to fix farings for the main racing team here--all dukes-when they were beautiful, the duke is an ugly beast, ide like a nice old mantained 916,, if I was rich --a Super Mono would be in the collection. 10 yrs ago the going rate on that obsolite racer was around $55000.00 and the 999 had just arrived The team was shut down and **** had become the local dealer and had a uncrating party one nite when the first 999 arrived.

Yeah. I'm 5'2" with a 28" inseam. The Monster feels like it was made for me. I can't say that about any other bike, though the '07 and earlier Kawasaki Ninja 250 was close.
