Found a '88 560 SEC with 320K HMM?
So I have been keeping a eye out for one of these for awhile. I have looked at a few and found that I was not happy with the body, rust condition etc. I found a 1988 560 SEC that has been an California and Oregon car it entire life. It was always dealor serived and everything seems to work. The car is basically what I'm looking for, but it has all those miles. Should I be afraid of them, or just buy it as its a nice well maintained car? He wants $2,600 for the car.

Eugene Oregon! I know a guy there. Miles shouldnt scare you unless the car was not taken care of... if it looks good, have a PPI done on it so you know what you are getting into

You going to drive it or look at it?
Got scracth? ![]() Fuel Economy of the 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC Just my $.02, but the only way I would consider it is if it was a 1 owner car, I could talk to the owner and he had the entire service history of the car. Even then, I hope common sense and my experiences with my 88 300CE last year would make me look at the odo and take a pass. Just a point of clarification. Is that 320,000 miles or 320,000 km? Jim B. is the one to ask. He knows them better than anyone. ![]() |
