Graham publicly appoligised. I recall that he found himself at odds with the Bush administration after the events of 9/11.

I don't recall seeing Graham take heat for religious views. He has taken heat for his bigotry, as did the late Jerry Falwell. At least Falwell seemed acknowledge his failings and recognized that people with opposing view points are not necessarily evil. I am not sure that Graham can say the same.

As for what Jerry's up to these days, he may be gone, but his memory lives on in Lynchburg, Virginia. You see his imprint everywhere you turn in that town.
