Now you are forced to make a change you will believe in if, as I suspect, you are a savvy businessman.

What model should I look for? I need a straight path copier because I run heavy stock.

That sucks. Is 12 years a reasonable expectation for a commercial printer? I was thinking I'd hope for more than 12 years out of $78K but then again we replace our heavy duty delivery trucks every 10. Is it not fixable? Even with duct tape and WD40?

Is leasing an option?

Buy me one of those big @$$ boxes of Crayolas and some per-job beer and I can do your printing jobs for you. ;)

I tell you, I never saw any type copier when I was at Donnelly. 2 eight color printstream 102's, 1 four color 102, 6 color Kamori, all sheetfed.....2 web presses, 1 printstream 100 and M105.

The life of these machines is about 5-7 years. I've kept this running for 12 years. It can be fixed, but it would cost a bunch of money. :(
