Perhaps a bit paranoid are you? And about the "Jesus dying for MY sins" thing... I am very thrilled you went ahead and chose a religion for me to practice. That was very nice of you.

Gosh no. This is still cake. I am sure there will be more cake to come before we even get to the icing.

You're welcome! However, I did not choose a religion. I simply pointed out that he volunteered to die for your sins. The rest is up to you to decide and choose.

Was it the intention of the original post to demean the sacrifices of all the non-Christian US soldiers that paid the ultimate price in serving their country?

That's right. Bring the Great Mystifier into it. All I know is that I volunteer frequently at the local V.A. Where my wife is head of outpatient psych nursing. We serve food, distribute goods and clothing to the homeless vets, plus cash to some who are not yet service connected. Afterwards a bunch of us guys bring our antique cars outside the long term psych/nursing home for the vets to look at and enjoy rides in.

One of America's most popular presumptions of fact not in evidence. Definitely in the same league as the virgin birth, the resurrection, the ascension without the aid of technology and a universe younger than 10,000 years.

I always find it quite fascinating that most people who have no f***ing idea what to do with this life want another one that supposedly lasts forever.

I certainly hope, and would like to believe you have instilled enough moral fiber in your son, so that he did not let his brain become infiltrated by the brainwashings that have diseased the minds of some servicemen.

'The way of the drone:Emblem for an Empire of cowards'.

In a Rolling Stone article written by Micheal Hastings, he depicts the drone mentality now consuming the US military apparatus. In the following, Hastings describes new military slang now being used to designate victems of drones.
In an email. One of Americas brave drone warriors writes to another young gun:
"Yo ED!. I'm lookin out the window of WatchTower 19 in Force Zone Seven. They're loading up the dead wagon. Three freindlies, two uncarded, the usual collateral-and one bug. We zapped the market before the bug got his hard-on-another one of those Czech AK-47 knock-offs that our friendly neighborhood warlord keeps bringing in. He says he doesnt know how bugs get ahold of them-they drop down from heavan I guess....
....I'd just come off night patrol in Deep-City zone, hardcore bugland, backing up some Special Ops doing a Guantamano run on terrorperp suspects, banging down doors, barrel in the face of some shrieking bug-woman in her black bag, children scutteling in the dark like rats, the perp calling down an airstrike from Allah on our heads. You know the drill. You know the jangle. Not even the new meds can keep you completely blanked out. So there's always the overstep somewhere. Womans cheekbone cracking from a backhand, some kid stomped or booted out of the way. Some perp putting his hand in one of those damned dresses they wear, going for who knows what-a Koran? mosquito bite? scimitar?-and you open up. More shreiking, more screaming-and then the wall splatter'..........
