Oooh, scary chips. Every animal I own is chipped, and I own a reader for verifying ownership and herd registration numbers at livestock shows I judge. I chip others' animals, whether pets or livestock. Nobody's going to chip humans against their will. It's a non-issue.

Yeah, you're probably right.
Until the government tells one you have to have it to conduct commerce,banking,real estate and so on.

UK tried to go that way right after 911. Didn't happen yet but they still tried.

Think of all the hassles an ID implant would eliminate and how this could benefit global man.

So if everybody had a ID mark on their body, sure would eliminate all kinds of fraud.

I read a book about this one time.

Just an FYI, the more likely number is 616 not 666. 666 seems to be a later variant.

So if we're all numbered 666, or 616, how in the devil will they be able to tell us apart?
I worry about the price of hay and grain and coffee and beer and whiskey, not whether somebody's going to want to chip me. They'll have to get past my own personal number, 1911, to do it. Chipping a corpse seems like a waste of resources to me.

the Nazis didn't have access to microchips but instead used tattoos. IBM was brought in to computerize geneology records (via Census records) so that the Nazis could easily identify racial groups that they decided should be exterminated.

they already have a numbering system consisting of 18 digits. it consist of a bar code shown on the back of most driver's licenses. 18 digits is enough numerical combinations to number every man, woman and child in the world. similar to the way the US fish and wildlife people tag fish for tracking purposes, you have been tagged.
