Anything significantly less than 100% puts it out of my reach......1% for example is still 350,000. though of course I could borrow the difference if you want to be REALISTIC about it....

:P

Drop your drawers and check. If you have the mod, you're in!

I think the Jewish tradition is matrilineal, meaning Jewishness passes through the mom, not the dad. Not certain, maybe Kerry knows.

OH rust me. I was raised Jewish. Both Parents are survivors. I just lost the faith a long long time ago. You are correct about Judaism being passed down from the mother.

Sucks to be you then. I never had to lose the faith. Never had accepted any of the faiths out there. None of them offered what I was looking for.

I went to a lot of church as a kid, never did anything for me, lost it.

I think religion isn't to appealing to those of us who are not "followers", and most people on this site are not.

Probably 500 years ago we would have all been burning at the stake.

Send me money and have faith: I will tell you the truth about love and god and everything!

Maybe because you are younger you feel that way? Seems to me that when people get older, they tend to see their mortality and start to try to hold on to life by wanting an eternal life and not dying. That or senility like I think my folks are headed towards. The older they get the more they seem to lean towards religion and wasting what little time they have on reading and understanding religious texts and the crap that comes with it. The older they get the more they seem to try to align themselves with the church. Perhaps senility.

Lots of people have died before I will, so why should I have a problem with it?

Age will kill you for sure, but so will lots of other things. I could get cancer next year or walk in front of a car next week.

I don't attend every sunday now but as often as possible do attend the chapel of burning rubber and gasoline fumes as often as possible.

Can't do that. I traded the soul for a 6 pack of soda when I was really thirsty.

I think age has a large role. When you are young, you don't think so much of dying but when you are older and retired and you have more time to think, suddenly, you realize you are 60 and a lot closer to the end or at 70, you are even closer and you know the party is ending sooner than later.
