Daily, daily sing to Mary

Daily, daily sing to Mary,
Sing, my soul, her praises due:
All her feasts, her actions honor
With the heart's devotion true.

Lost in wond'ring contemplation,
Be her majesty confessed:
Call her Mother, call her Virgin,
Happy Mother, Virgin blest.

She is mighty in her pleading,
Tender in her loving care;
Ever watchful, understanding,
All our sorrows she will share.

jingle bells, jingle bells......

I remember having a solo in church when I was maybe first grade. It was an obscure fourth verse of old rugged cross I think. I can still sing that verse though it has been nearly six decades since I got the part and I have not sung it since except to myself when having a pleasant flashback.

With that sort of thing its not so much being a good singer but being able to do it at all in front of God and everyone.

However, taking church out of the equation, I remember my dad playing this song on his 8-track in the truck whenever we went camping or fishing.

The Lady of the house took me out to dinner at a local joint. Other than that, not much.

What's your lady doing for you?

Victor Young - Around The World - Part II (1957) - YouTube

Parents were big on movie soundtracks. Still a great movie, but needs to be viewed on as big a screen as possible.

Glad the pump worked for you CLK. You seemed to have enough other issues to cover without dealing with production shutting down.

We have old recordings of them. As for being under a record label or contract, no. The radio stations broadcast them singing on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings. It was considered God's work, so they didn't charge for the privilege.
