Well, I guess there's still reason to continue to call Einsteins work "theory."

It makes sense that there could be a way to slow down light by absorbing the energy, at least it makes sense to a layman like myself. It also seems plausible to somehow modulate and store the light as a means of encoding and transmitting information in a method similar to what is now done electronically.
