Rush? He's all theatrics and propaganda. And scumbag. Entertainment purposes only. If you look there for wisdom, oh wait, you did.

I was struggling to understand the meaning of all of this, so of course I turned to Rush to do my thinking for me.

But he took the day off and there was a guest host. A 'Guest Host'? What is that? How can I make it through the day, walking a tightrope between losing even more advertisers or losing listeners?

I mean, just because Rush did.......

Akin just announced he is staying in the race!

So now the only question is how long will it be before he quits due to 'family problems'?

Being bored I decided to cruse a few right wing sites. They are all furious with this guy Akin.

They all agree with him, but they are furious he let people know where he really stands and why. I could not find one that called him less than an idiot, which I think is rather harsh.

I would just call him a Conservative.

In all reality I am not proud of Republicans saying dumb things. I am also not proud of Republicans for thinking dumb things and even less proud of Republicans that introduce into law dumb things.

I can remember when I disagreed with Republicans and Democrats over their policies; not because they were fools that thought they could run my life.

I can still remember a conversation I had with a Republican Senator who bragged to me that he would make me live by his rules, that he would make everyone live by his rules.

I told him good luck with that. I think this was in 1985, so I am glad to see the Republicans are still trying to live up to his high standards.

Pooka, I am guessing this is old news to you but, here, the latest shame of our state.

Fools like that (and the Teabags) helped make my decision to leave the GOP.

I volunteered for them as a youte (as Rush says) and was on their payroll for a few years while working in DC. CYA GOP, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out of my life.
