I'm a "safety" guy. I inspect research labs at KU for compliance with any Fed, State, or local regs. Never a dull moment. Do some stuff with construction safety, indoor air quality, and research protocols also.

Previously...car wash maintence, car salesman (subaru) and, for a four years, diesel mechanic (big rigs) plus anything that came into the shop. Nothing electrical however, I'm just lousy with anything electrical.

Living

I sail on commercial ships for living, as an engineering officer. We only have about 10 people in the engineering department onboard most ships on which I sail--and we fix it all (can't very well call for help in the middle of the big pond). These ships are typically over 900 ft long and 100 ft abeam, and have motors which put out thousands of hp per cylinder (typical bore/stroke= 840mm x 2500mm). They run on heavy or intermediate fuel (heated, and purified, of course!). I also sailed on nuclear submarines as a nuclear trained enlisted, many years ago...

Highschool senior. (only 3 classes a day) Then the rest of the day, I do insurance related stuff. (Work for farmers insurance).

Hobbies: Run (small) webserver, make cars run better, tinkering with anything electronic, computers, home theater, and read books.

And when Im not doing the above items, I am probibally out on the boat, installing a car stereo, or playing airsoft.
