Craigslist weirdness

Ive listed and sold many things over the years but Ill never do this again .I listed a set of rims and tires locally and recieved a call yesterday from a young kid responding to the add .The short of it is he wants me to meet up ,I aggree ,waiting for him to decide and after 40 minutes he decides to not buy.I head back on my 20 minute drive and notice a follower ,I turn off the frwy and make a stop at my local convinence store a short distance further,as I come back out this guy has his window rolled down and his car is behind mine sideways, he makes an argument about me cutting him off ,right then I now its a setup ,I reach across my dash to lock the pass door and stick the key in the ignition and wait standing outside the car as he keeps on with the stunt , I then see one of the passnegers getting ready to get out.I make the comment of cameras on the side of the buiding and point to 2 of them ,he gets the idea but makes a comment about me following him to settleup ,right .I only had time to get a partial plate before he shut off his lights speeding off down the dark road which was a dead end.I knew he had to come back out the same way so I had the store employee I know that works inside come out and have someone varify my story if needed. They come back out and turn across the intersection the way they came in and make their exit towards the frwy and out of my life.I really feel the setup was real enough to warrent a non response from me but it really took alot for me not to get in my car and back right into his drivers door .

i do alot of business through craigslist. whenever i meet someone or go to pick something up, im carrying a gun on me. most importantly, i never put myself in the position that they have the advantage. there was a guy here in mesa that had his ar15 listed on backpage. he met a potential buyer in the sportsmans parking lot, climbed in the buyers truck with the rife, and got robbed. the buyer stuck a gun in his face, took his keys, cell phone, wallet, and gun. the mistake he made there? got in the guys truck.

Im sure it was to rob the rims,it was fun and games until cameras were involved ,gang members follow a simple rule and thats not to get caught. The stop at the store was made on purpose ,positioning the car so the cameras were in view of my car ,I didnt want to show up at my house for the reason Im with no neighbors ,just a good pair of dogs that like chasing anything that might want to test the fence.Pat at the store knows me for some years now ,I helped him with an angry drunk customer onetime and was glad to help me review the tape of the incident after asking ,the store has some 8 cameras and are topnotch by how Pat puts it.We noticed on the tape that one of them got out of the car to look in my back seat were I placed 2 of the rims then returned back to his vehicle. If I was to do anything different I would say it would be to park the car were I had and exit ,since I pulled up at a curb on frt of the store I closed the door for that to happen.
