ATV thread...

I went camping last weekend and had a heck of a good time, but I need an ATV.

So before we head back up their in December I'm going to get one.

Here is what I absolutely need:
AWD
Independent suspension all around.
Auto
Lots, and lots of ground clearance, you would be amazed at the trails we ride on.
A bit of power, not a ton, but enough.

Since everyone seems to have Polaris I'm thinking about getting a 550 or a 500HO. The new 550's have a foot of ground clearance which is good.

I would like fuel injection, but I can live with a carb. Lots of power isn't ideal, I'd buy an 800 or an 850 but its really to much. The guys that have them just seem to plow into trees, we don't really ride on fast trails.

Budget is $5k.

Don't know much about ATV's, but having ridden dirt bikes and used chainsaws at altitude, I would recommend springing for the fuel injection if I had any plans to ride in the mountains.

On a dirt bike I prefer less weight over more power.
