The pneumatic slide whistle works great. But the garden hose/extension cord combo won't work in a GFI outlet...

Based on my experience trying to find something as simple as a half decent tow rope I will have to agree 100%

The people in Starbucks think I'm dangerous because I've been laughing, chuckling, chortling and snorting my way through that ad. I'd say more, but I gotta go as the loony wagon just rolled up and I don't wanna be hauled off!
Thanks for a much-needed bunch of laughs! |

They have a lot of quality stuff. But then again, the extreme lower price stuff is usually that.
I have some wrenches and sockets that are good. They have ok air tools too, but like I said the cheap 9.95 is just that. They come a long way. I got a pretty good roll away with a flip lid that was as good as craftsman or kennedy on sale for 200 bucks a few years ago. Real sturdy construction. |

Rules for buying at HF
1. Don't buy anything that spins faster than 2500rpm. 2. Don't buy anything that you will hit with a hammer. 3. Tell yourself its going to fail so you will be pleasantly surprised when it works. 4. ??? 5. Profit |

Some items that I have bought and liked from Harbor freight
The good Earthquake impact wrench - Nice, I've had it for a couple of years and it works great. Tool Box - Usually sells for $399 but I used a 20% off coupon and saved another $80. It's a nice box. I'll get the top box at some point to go with it. Sockets- Never had issues with them. Mostly all of the basic hand tools are good. Floor jacks and Axle stands 20 ton press Wet tile saw Compound miter saw Electric vacuum pump Engine hoist The bad Mostly anything else with an electric motor Screw drivers (although, I use them as pry bars) Light bulbs Rechargeable batteries Vice grips Channel lock pliers (these are pretty much ornamental) With all that said, I have a pretty well stocked tool box that has a lot of HF stuff. Some of the stuff (like the CIS pressure tester, or a radiator tester) I could never justify owning if I had to buy them from another sources because they would cost several hundreds of dollars more.

Not too bright? I suggest counting fingers then move to blocks. Hang in there. |
