I guess I should have been a little more clear. When I referenced the Isuzu I was thinking of all the "small" trucks (diesel or gas) that used to be sold in the US. Another one that comes to mind is the last generation Nissan Hardbody which was built to the late 90's IIRC. Not sure when they went to the Frontier but it got pumped up to what I call a midsize. Another one that comes to mind is the early 90's Toyotas with the 22R engine. This is another one that got pumped up. I just rebuilt an a/c (using the original r12) on a 91 Toyota pickup with 345k miles on it and the truck rides and runs out great. I'm not the type of person that rides down the road and worries about how "safe" the vehicle I'm riding in/on is. If I did I probably would not ride a motorcycle. Keep in mind I am in a very rural area so my view is probably slanted.
