Blogger can definitely give you a very non-blog profile, and if you end up choosing it I can give you some tips on what you can do to make it look current and not-so-cookie-cutter.

Here's my personal website, a conglomerate of travelogue, portfolio and store: www.thiseuropeanlife.com. It's all made with blogger and I love how easy to configure and personalize it is.

I did not register my "dot com" URL with google, but with 1and1. Blogger, however, gives you easy-to-follow instructions to turn a blogspot domain into a top-level domain like a .net, .com or .org.

Messing around with blogger. I want this to be totally anonymous, no name, etc. The blogging header has all that stuff. It seems kind of fluffy. I want generic, because I will be dealing with some shady folks.

I just did an assessment (at my place of work) on a delusional murderer who did time 25 yrs ago, then was put away for a felon in possession a firearm. He/she got out a few months ago.

He/she gave provided me with some incriminating info. that was not given to anyone else. I had to tell the probation officer and he/she was issued a warrant.

You will have to create a fake gmail account to hide your identity; as far as I am concerned, the only ways to shield information is to get a company to do it or provide false information so people don't track you down.
