What do you do when you are bored.

I hate grocery shopping. So when we are at wally world, I will go to the mirror department and go up to people and look in the mirror and ask them why they are buying such an UGLY picture.

What do you do when you are bored beside masturbating?

Look at coupes I shouldn't be buying, and start to forget about all the other piles of maintenance that come with owning a 30yr old car :p

For most of us longer term married guys this is not quite the case. I guess the old adage that sex is like playing bridge may have a grain of truth in it. If you do not have a good and always willing partner you should have a good hand.

For those that have the luxory of enough time to get bored perhaps they should be thankful. I spend seven hours spray painting yesterday now I get to put it all back together for the remainder of the week.

Of course while doing this I should really be doing something else. I guess that I am thankful to always have interesting things to do but a break would be nice.

I gave up geting totally caught up years ago. There is some upside to having surplus time. Why oh why do I always seem to take on more on those few occasions when the end of the tunnel is in sight?

When bored, I cook. Today it's bean soup with ham hocks and fire roasted tomatoes. I'll make two pans of homemade corn bread later, and have my wife take a small pot of it to the old man next door. Since his wife passed away last month, we've been feeding him every-other day so that his daughter, who lives on the other side of him, isn't completely burdened with it.

that's what I did yesterday, ferrying around cooked food to several older folks.

I sat down at the last place just to relax a minute while they were eating their tomato bisque with garlic, and I realized: I was the only person in the house under 90 years of age!

I felt very rejuvenated!

Actually, with the kid away at college, the wife and I have "rediscovered" life as a couple. Kinda nice, actually, and we found out that we really do like each other's company.

But with the house and cars getting "long on the tooth", there is always something that needs attention...
