300 SD Cluster

Ok. I have a problem. After having replaced my ignition switch assembly and having put the column back in place...... my cluster is acting up!! The 3 gauges on the left side max out while driving. As if a wire is shorted to ground or hot. Something of that nature. And with the key off..... The fuel gauge flops empty to full min/max about every 2 seconds. Any ideas out there? Please? I've been thru most all the obvious. But willing to listen. Also, while the headlights are on....: the tach runs very low like 400 instead of 2000. Seems to be linear. And with headlights off its normal. Please help. Thanks

I also have a wire with 2 bare prongs. One round pin and one flat. Looks suspicious. Very short and no apparent place to plug it in. Black wire and black with green tracer.

Be careful with those two, they are for the ejection seat. Apparently it has been disconnected.

(just kidding).
