Why any forum member would waste time - energy attacking political views of other members?

Knowing you will not change their view (obvious) makes it frustrating and futile action.

Yes I've been saying two things for a LONG time that dovetail with your statement:

ALL politicians do and say what it takes to get votes. If that means selling their Momma on a street corner or letting an Ambassadors call for more security be ignored for their own political gain, resulting in their murder, NO PROBLEM! It gets votes. They would stick a knife into ANY of us for one more vote. There's no group I can think of that are more self centered.

The other thing I've been saying is that I've been voting in Presidential elections since 1972 and have YET been able to vote FOR a single candidate. It is ALWAYS a vote for the lesser of two evils and THIS race might be the most glaring example of that.

I will say again that the written word is sometimes VERY deceiving. Without facial expressions and other body language, it is OFTEN misunderstood.

Knowing what I now know, I wish there were some way that I could go back to the earliest INSULT posts aimed toward me and ignore them, so that I would have never ended up in the current situation on this forum. There was actually a time on this forum about 12 years ago when there were a few people on this forum that LIKED me.

I even tried to call a truce several times early on in the process, but there were several people intent on slipping in the knife and twisting it every time they could. My reactions to them, then spilled overs to others that I liked and STILL like even though they most likely hate my guts at this point.

There's no way to do things over.

Hey Larry, I don't hate you and I don't feel we are in combat. I am promoting my opinions and you are yours. I cannot keep you from getting hysterical but I see no reason i should stop voicing my opinions just because you are getting yourself all worked up.

You being hysterical all the time just discredits you with the (moderate) rest of us.

I suppose a few here may like your behavior.

I find it very tiring and I feel sorry for you that you are getting yourself all lathered up all the time....but not tiring enough for me to give you a free pass.
