Republican war on women

Looks like they lost that war in a big way.

According to CNN, 55% of women voted for Obama. Murdoch, Akin and Walsh to mention a few got punted. Why the RNC hates women the way they do is beyond me. Until the RNC can get the right wing out of their party I do not see how this changes. People like the ones above need to be removed and kept out. They only hurt the party. People like Ryan only hurt the parties chances with women.

The nearest thing to REAL about a war on women, is in the imagination of Axelrod, or whoever dreamed it up as a campaign strategy. I give him, or whoever it was, lots of credit for coming up with such a great strawman (or should that be strawwoman) and building a very successful campaign strategy around it. It's right up there with the sneaky strategies of Karl Rove.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!

Great job Axelrod!

So true. For example...
Quote:
I struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize life is that gift from God. And I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.
Quote:
If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.
Quote:
We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to unborn children.
All of the above quotes were writen by David Axelrod and then he forced Republicans at gun point to read them on national television. Those poor unfortunate Republicans... they're the real victims in all of this. What horrible quotes will David Axelrod force on the Republicans next?

SO! You're saying that a few sentences, said by individuals, indicate the thoughts and minds of a WHOLE political party?

Does this mean that all the stupid stuff that Joe Biden says is totally representative of the ideologies of the Democratic Party?

Then there were those Democrat geniuses who suckered Republican office candidates to wax poetic about raped women being incapable of becoming pregnant, etc.

Did you happen to read the RNC platform section regarding abortion? A majority of women have no interest in being forced to carry a child conceived by rape or incest to full term. That is the RNC platform. That is the party platform. That is part of the war on women. It's very real. Fifty five percent of the women who voted rejected the RNC platform and it's representative.

Really? Thats the best argument you can come up with? You can't do any better than that? How morally bankrupt are you people?

I'm quoting the official position Republican party as written in the PARTY PLATFORM and the comments of 2 Republicans running for senate during televised debates. If that doesn't represent the position of the Republican party what does?

Okay, by that logic, you mean the Democrat Vice President of the United States does NOT represent the Democratic Party?

Have a great day

The point being, Larry, is that if the Republican Party is being unfairly tagged as a party of misogynistic old men, then misogynistic old men who happen to be Republican candidates for elected office should STFU in public when the subject of women's rights comes up. Not doing so gives the Republican misogynists still in the closet a bad name.

I don't disagree. What IS shallow and the way it was used in the campaign, deceptive, is taking a FEW members of the party and try to convince people that EVERYONE in the party thinks exactly like that.

Does EVERYONE in the Democratic Party think like Joe Biden?

All the best

Maybe we could start a foundation. Donate wire coat hangers to Republicans.
