Congratulations!
Was the little skid steer part of the deal? That's a sweety.

Houses are spaced pretty far apart as well, most lots are 1.5 acres.
Speed limit is 25, and for the most part everyone keeps it kind of close.
There is really only one idiot (other than yours truly) on the street, and we are putting more distance between us and him.
We purchased the subdivider's showpiece/sales office. He built it as well as he knew how and then sold from it for a few years until all the other lots were sold and built.
Commute is less than 10 miles too!

The jury is still out on whether it will be good or bad having our tenants living right next door, but at least we can't see that house from the new one. In fact we can really only see part of the house across the street.
its always good to be close to your tenants, IMHO.

Sounds even nicer with all the new details provided!

Nope. I bought the skidsteer when I bought my first house in CT. Place had no yard, entirely sloped backyard covered in second growth trees, pricker bushes and rocks...
Skidsteer and I made a 4000 sq ft yard in the back for the kids to play on.

Love that little machine! I use it to clean snow instead of my snowplow, it's more fun and I can make nice piles for the kids to play on.

At the new house, I've already pulled about 50 beachball sized rocks from the edge of the property and flattened/graded about 500 sq ft which will be parking area.

It moved my old woodstove, chest freezer, kegerator, toolbox and a car tent from one house to the other. Moving the tent was great.... 2x4 across the horizontal supports and picked up the whole thing and drove it over. Awfully convenient to only be moving 100 yards up the street.

Also moved the lazy-man piles of brush and leaves which the PO had left in places I did not think appropriate.

In the spring, a bunch of those stones will be moved to the creek to build a little dam. Kids g.otta have a place to splash about

Tonight is first night in new house!!

All day moving and modifying kids lofted beds. Old loft cut in half and custom fit to new rooms. All children very happy and mommy and daddy very tired.

Going to be strange to wake up in a different home....
