Their goes my rights...

Connecticut legislators introduce new gun laws following Newtown shootings- The New Haven Register - Serving New Haven, Connecticut

Land of the free my ass, the cozy idiots piss away rights that people died in mud to get for them.

The fascists in Hartford are working hard this holiday season. If they do a good enough job maybe they can shut down whats left of the firearms industry and cost lots more manufacturing jobs. They are professionals at driving companies out of the state!

I ask anyone in a free state to send any kind of support they are able to:
Coalition of Connecticut Sportsmen

Donations, are always welcome.

Better get some reloading supplies I guess.

Very vague article, though.

From the article Hatty listed...

Quote:

“We are in the middle of a mental health services crisis here in Connecticut and across America,” Bye said in a statement. “This is a serious problem which requires a serious, long-term solution. Until that solution is crafted, however, we must do everything in our power to ensure that those people who have a desire to cause harm to others cannot do so with a firearm. It is our responsibility to act now to prevent future gun violence, and it will be our everlasting shame if we do not.”
Taking firearms out of the hands of responsible gun owners is NOT the way to handle the situation! All they will succeed in doing is disarming victims, instead of handling the real problem, which is hoe to handle the mentally ill, and how to assist the caregivers of the mentally ill.

Hatty, I donated what I could, which isn't much at the moment. I'll send more next month.

Write to your congressman and post their response here.

TheDon 12-21-2012 07:25 PM

Instead of thinking it through they are just doing what comes first.. like any useless congressman/representative.

Writing legislation based purely on emotions is what comes first?? Thank God that we don't all vote based purely on emotion. ;)

There's an outfit called PTR Industries in Connecticut. They manufacture HK derivatives and I'd hoped to buy one of their PTR91GI's some day when I could squirrel away enough money.

I'm afraid they'll probably be out of business soon now.

They are stacking the chips in order to leverage the opposition.

Stupid politicians milking the lemming voter base emotions for a next office vote.

I donated to the NRA-ILA today and will donate something to the CT. folks. My niece and nephew live 20 miles from Newtown.

I love children but these stupid tactics are an insult to the children that died because it skirts real issues regarding violence in society and seeks to place the finger on a bete noir, an inanimate object (firearm) without regard to the demented minority of perpetrators.

Those proposed collected taxes?? More money into caring politician pockets.

I see it all the time in my home City by the Bay.

The fox guarding the hen house>>>:D

Good Grief !

p.s. Eric Holder's gun running scheme= one murdered US citizen and many murdered Mexican citizens.... the plucky one that got away...so far...

Hatterasguy 12-21-2012 10:43 PM

I made a good donation to the NRA today.

If they ban my right to buy firearms I'll donate what I was going to spend buying them to the NRA as well.

Luckily I made friends with my usual gun shop, and supposedly when a shipment of Stag AR's comes in, in the next few weeks I'll get one. Lets see how much my loyal repeat business is actually worth.

If they expect to confiscate my firearms, well they can go **** themselves in that regard. My M1 carbine that my grandfather carried in WW2 ain't going anywhere.

I had to laugh at the statement..."You don't want to have to stop and reload (at the target range) at $24/hr.":P

What, like he wants to stand there and fire off 100 rounds with out pause? What kind of target practice is that?

Those laws don't sound all that onorous to me. The tax on shells does not really address the primary problem I don't think, but the others don't sound that bad....registration, limiting to ten shots capacity. Locking them up.

They are having trouble sleeping at night knowing that there are guns in the hands of their slaves.
