The biggest fear certain gun owners have appears to be not being able to buy guns 24/7/365.

Fire sale prices in 6 months. Keep your money in your pocket.
I am glad I stocked up on powder and primers however. Can't find them anywhere thanks to the numbnuts. Talk about gun grabbers.

sounds like a great idea for a new retail gun store. Can't sleep at 3:00 AM? Come on down and pick up a new gun or two or three.......

I went to buy some ammo yesterday. They were out of .45 Colt, and I bought the last two boxes of 7.62x39 they had for $18 a box. It was $2.99 when I started shooting that caliber 7 years ago.

This is a problem, nothing more disappointing than going to buy a gun at the local gun store only to find out its closed.

Most people are aware of the paperwork requirements for purchasing a gun. However, most people are unaware of the volumes and REAMS of paperwork a gun store has to fill out just to open the doors and to stay in business. The regulators are regulating them out of business. Say good bye to the local gun store, it's been nice knowin' ya!!!!

Pssht. You can't drive half an hour in Phoenix or Tucson without passing half a dozen stores, all doing land office business.

My first father in law was a ww2 vet. He saw heavy action from Normandy to Germany, driving a 6x6 radio truck. He had a machine gun in a special bracket mounted inside the door and practiced diving out the door and grabbing the machine gun at the same time. This sort of combat experience is enough to create lingering problems for the bravest man.

When he came home, he kept a rifle next to his bed like many vets need to do to sleep. His wife got up one night to go to the toilet without him noticing and when she came back in the room he heard her and sat up and pointed the rifle at her and said loudly "Who's there?"

She was so frightened she could not speak immediately but eventually was able to squeak out "its me".

A little too close to an accidental shooting, there.

I also once saw him when a young man dropped a firecracker near and behind him. Jack spun around (he had been an all big ten wrestler when in college) and in a split second had the young fellow up on the hood of a car with his arm cranked up behind him and said something like "you shouldn't drop firecrackers behind men you don't know, since they might have been in combat before".

Combat is always tough but coming home is no picnic for the battle weary vet either.

This would have been about 1965, 20 years minimum since the war.
