Auction Anyone?
"The money" is heading into Scottsdale for the annual car auctions. Barrett-Jackson, RM, Gooding, Russo Steele, Bonhams and a couple others will be putting cars and memorabilia on the block. Any PP folks planning to swing by?

Sigh. Not this year. Due to circumstances beyond my control I had to withdraw my bid for the McLaren and the sight of the winning bidder exulting would be too painful. Hoist a pint for me. I'll be watching on the telly.

Did the pre-auction visit last Sunday to Barrett Jackson. With the Shelby celebration, there were Cobras and KR Mustangs galore. Quite a few Boss 302 as well. Just a sprinkling of 107 and 129 SL's. Crowd pleaser was obviously the TV show Batmobile. The auction at Westworld is slightly smaller than usual, apparently because they'll be moving into their permanent structure nearby in 2014 and next year should be a much larger event.

Safely watching it on Speed from the comforts of home.
May attend Amelia Island again this year if wifey permits.
