Natural leaf blower
As I put the trash out this morning I noticed the sidewalk along the street is completely free of any trash or stray leaves. It looks better than if i had blown all of it with a leaf blower.
I did not, of course. Day before yesterday we had very high winds all day.

Those same winds came through here, gusts up to 50, I believe. It blew one of the aluminum awnings on the windows loose, but not off. My neighbor's son is going to repair it for me later this afternoon.
It blew all the leaves down the hill and into the creek...

It was perfect. Strong enough to clean up but not strong enough to take any new trees or limbs down in my little woods.

Tom, do you live in Altus, Oklahoma?
 When I read your post it reminded me of a guy I was in the Army with, who was from Altus, Oklahoma. He said that in Altus, they used a log chain and an anvil for a windsock.
