Well She has Her opinion.

It is true that a lot of People fail at stuff because the load gets to the point they give up on themselves rather than toughing out.
But, it is also true that People have worked their Heart out and still failed.
Reality falls somewhere in-between that.

Situation, preparation, proper timing and perseverance are useful when you have a good degree of control over your situation.

Concerning Diseases even if you get good treatment you can never tell how things will end up. They can give you percentages of your chances.
