As you surely know, if you want to be accurate, you must be dead calm and not breathe when you pull that trigger.

These fellows are the exact opposite. Their blood pressure is probably high enough to move the gun around two inches.
How can you be calm if your dead?

Conditioning and training plays a role, if it were an infantry squad in the shoot out we would be Swiss cheese. If it were a Ranger, Seal, or any other special ops team the gunfight would have been very short and he would have several holes in his head.

Cops have little or no live firefight trigger time, therefore they can't hit anything.

This.... Also I wonder about the concept of covering fire being used in a neighborhood. If anyone has ever used it or seen it, it's not something a PD would use in a shelter in place neighborhood.

Actually very surprised they took him alive. ATF & BPD are not known for restraint, and given the situation, would have been justified in wasting him.

Now, though maybe we can get some insight into who turned these turds.

Amazing watching Washington Week last night, giving every reason except jihad for doing this....

I think the only reason they took him alive is because they could not hit him imo. I am sure they had little restraint and the fire was not cover or suppressive it was shoot until you empty the mag. I don't hold ATF in highest regard for their marksmanship, they can breach and clear with the best of us but when it comes down to tap tap...nothing.

Now he is a stressor to be applied to the remainder of the cell, if any.

"Will he talk?"

"Should I bolt and run?"

"What will he tell?"

"Should I risk communicating with my co-conspirators?"

I suspect ECHELON is watching sigint very closely.

Look for a sporadic release of seemingly random info and activities as gov stresses the system. Some info and activity will be targeting specific individuals to see how they act and who they call on the cellphone.

Yeah, using tanks to set fire to compounds with innocent women and children is more the ATF style. Of course to do this involved orders from Eric withHolder and Big Sis Reno.

I just saw a replay of MSNBC's 'Witness to Waco' yesterday. On the first day of the episode, Koresh called 911 and proceeded to talk theology with the sheriff on the phone.

Dude had every opportunity to surrender but his megalomania and delusions of messianic grandeur wouldn't allow that. There's a bit in the bible about how God would surround his precious ones with a wall of fire to protect them. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if that loony tune took steps to make sure a wall of flame would be what happened.

What, society was supposed to allow dude to set himself up with multiple child brides while arming himself with beau coup illegal weapons in some walled compound?

Give it a rest on Waco already.

Koresh and friends were nobodies. This was a fairly wealthy close-in suburb of Boston. If collateral damage had occurred, heads would have rolled. I'm actually surprised that there was as much shooting as there was.

Exactly. And frankly, there are ways of making him talk WITHOUT violating the Constitution. He's 19, still a kid. Give him a choice: full charges of terrorism/murder = life without parole or death if convicted. Or a plea-bargain letting him out while his dick is still useful for something other than peeing (20-25 years aka age 39-44) if he rats out his co-conspirators and agrees to testify against them in open court. This might not be difficult to do now that Big Bad Brother's influence is six feet underground.

No one should die because of their lifestyle even how absurd it looks to others.

ATF made an example of them. Had a schoolmate die in the initial assualte that never should have happened. He was ATF
