Dang Miata drivers!

so today on the way back from South Bend I was driving south on US 31, which is a four lane but not limited access highway....heavily traveled... when I look up at the caution light and there is a Miata blocking both lanes on my side of the road. Then I look and about 30 of the little cars are coming off a side road onto the highway and so they are blocking traffic both ways so they can all drive in a big humpy lump.

Grrrrrr!

Who do those clowns think they are? Why can't they wait their turn like everybody else?

Anyway, I drive up close to the one blocking my side and wait. Finally they all come out and head south. The guy blocking my side waves to me as he heads south as if I was polite and "let" them all monopolize the road for their little luv humpy clump drive.

I somehow managed to resist giving him and his girlfriend the single finger salute.

They all drove up the road about three miles and turned off.

I for one HATE group driving events -- not my thing, really, but I used to own a Miata and it was a fun, efficient little car.

Tom, so you're saying that one of them blocked the road like a cop would block a road for a funeral possession? If so, is that legal? It wouldn't be in Texas.

The US had become a country where it is "all about me". From the drivers, to the women in the supermarket checkout lines, to the pedestrians in NYC...............it is always about "me".

It matters not how much I inconvenience "you" provided that my own situation is eased for my benefit.

The single finger salute accomplishes absolutely nothing. It doesn't make you feel any better and it has no effect on those that behave in such a manner. Now, if you wish to remove the valve stems from their tires and replace the caps..............now, you've got some satisfaction. You could also make up some self-adhesive large stickers that state "I'm a douchebag" and plaster them all over their front windshield. Now, you really have some satisfaction.

What about removing the stems, then supergluing the caps in place to make reinflation difficult?

It was one of those mass Harley rides....not Miatas. Just thought i'd have a little fun and see if the reaction was different for Harleys than Miatas.
