Jumping out a Window. Do you know what they call it Windows? Because it can drive you to throw the PC out the window. |

How old are these computers? The Mac I have is from 2009 and I need to go to the orchard and get a new version of the operating system. This one is no longer supported. You might have to do the same. Worse comes to worse, bring the Mac to the  Genius Bar  :D |
For calling us nerds I will charge double....

...if your shop mac is near to or next to the router plug a network cable between the two. A network cable looks like this http://img.tomshardware.com/us/2005/..._45_cables.jpg plug one in the mac and the other end in the router. The mac should be able to connect to the internet (so long as the router is working). You can then try and download that airport bs so you can go wireless if you really want to. |
OK for wireless
Your router will have a name and a pass phrase to allow connecting computers to access it. What's your router called? If you look back at the pictures posted for you - you need to read off the names listed on the mac screen as shown here http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/...p-airport1.jpg |
'Come on Geordie Shore will be on in a minute!
Vicky doesn't bang... ...well perhaps this time she will! |

I'm off to watch Geordie Shore!
See ya later - once you've got the broadcast name of the router and you've found the paper work with the pass phrase (sometimes written on the underside of the router) you should be good. |
