I have discovered....

That watercrafts are just holes in the water that EAT money!

Seriously! These things are nickel and diming me to death! $10 here, $40 here, $5 here, $100 here! And that is before they even touch water. Then add to that the cost of fuel/food/lauch fees for the afternoon!

What gives!?!

I am getting the feeling these were designed/built with a VERY limited lifespan, seeing as nothing is easy to fix, and you have to remove half of the engine to fix things that shouldn't have broken in the first place!

duh... it's a boat and it falls into the category of the 3 F's....

Plus smart people never buy boats, they just have friends with boats.

Boat unit... $1000
Benz unit... $100

It's nice having a friend with a boat. I help him with boat projects then ride for free. Best of both worlds!

My BiL bought a smallish motor craft about 10 years ago. We went on a cruise of South Puget Sound once - Olympia area. He sold it a few years later. I enjoyed the cruise but it wasn't life changing.

Agreed!

Though it's a nice addition to my "game"... Seems chicks have a hard time keeping their clothes on when around watercraft!

That's why my boats are all human powered. Once bought I spend precious little on them. A lost paddle, busted oar maybe, a patch here and there. Around here it's horses we call a hole in the pasture you dump money into.

Pricey way to get lucky. Mrs. Palmer and her 5 daughters aren't impressed by sexy boats.
