Pigs out of control....

Police Shoot & Kill Grandfather While Responding To Burglary Call « CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

panZZer 05-29-2013 02:04 PM

F nnn pigs,
But seriously the woodhaven country club is in one of the worst sections of Ft worth. the jungle b*****s would come out of the woods near certain greens and mugg the golf weenies.
All said the Ft Worth police have left me alone more than any other city in the metroplex, thats why I made the near west side home for 5 plesant yrs and would choose there again first over any other place here.

Ahh Don't stand in the street with a gun when LEO is answering a shots fired call. Just saying...

cmac2012 05-29-2013 02:51 PM

A tragic incident but the thread title is a bit much. It has to be a tough job.

OTOH, somehow some serious morons manage to become cops. I saw the dashcam footage of this story earlier on this forum and found this expanded video - dashcams of responding police cars - on another:

Seattle Pays $1.5M to Family of Victim of Police Shooting | JONATHAN TURLEY

Shocks the imagination.

The man was in his yard, not the street

5 shots fired! They felt threatened ?? Suppose the Samaritan's weapon was fired?
Do LEOs carry vox recorders on them? Be interested to hear the call in by the responders.

A woman in my town stopped to help a broken down motorist on a 4 lane here some years ago. A nice lady's last day on this earth. Killed by a passing motorist. RIP Bonnie.:(

There is a lesson here: No Good Deed Goes Unpunished. This isn't the first time I have heard a story about someone responding to a neighbor's burglar alarm only to get caught up in the "incident" and wind up dead. It is called "Getting Caught in the Crossfire", IMHO, NOT A GOOD THING. The alarm system went off FOR A REASON, THE REASON is someone(s) broke into the house. The lesson? If you ever hear an alarm go off, dial 911 and STAY IN YOUR HOME until the smoke clears.

For gawdsake, do not help your neighbors.

Amen and Amen to that one brother. Firstly, I figure if they wanted help, they would ask for it. Secondly, they may resent your idea of "help".

Don't borrow any tools, don't give them your phone number, don't try to sell them anything (especially a CAR!!!!) and stay out of the way and let the police respond to burglar alarms.

Another one I've learned recently is if you are male, keep any interaction with their wives to a minimum. About as far as you should go, is "Hello" and "How are you?" while your walking into the door of your own abode and end it at that. Some guys do not like any man talking to their wife for any length of time and get really really jealous.

Pig = bad cop, not all cops. Hope the cops in question get karmic payback -- maybe a bystander will be unwilling to rush to THEIR aid when they're in trouble after hearing this story.

If they're insecure little pricks, then maybe their wives will get bored and start looking elsewhere in short order. Hmmmm, this may be a good way to get laid (as long as neighbor is someone who you can beat the living crap out of if he comes at you :) )

Meh, the cops around here shot and killed an invalid in his bed a few years back..... in their defense he was reaching for a soda can.

Thank goodness I am not a neighbor of yours. Where I live neighbors help each other.

Depends on what type of help they want or need and what type of help I want or need. Again, when it comes to a tripped home alarm system, I know of more than one instance where the friendly neighbor "do gooder" got himself in the cross fire and SHOT DEAD. All because he was trying to "help his neighbor out".
