Capital punishment as a "one size fits all" penalty. Nice

Yeah, Tex, that's why every courthouse should have a BIG tree on the lawn and a rope close at hand. It worked for Judge Parker.

How can anyone that mistrust the government that much put the lives of others in their hands?

well, somebody needs to take care of stuff like this. fairly cut & dried. If I advocated for citizens taking it in their own hands, I suppose that you would ***** about that.

Trouble is, you think this case is a slam dunk and I suspect it is. But if it starts becoming OK to hang 10 or 11 year old on Nat. TV, one wonders when stuff will go wrong. Lying witnesses, confused subject coerced into confession - more likely with young defendants.

How about just giving the parents of the poor kid 15 minutes with each of the little thugs in a soundproof room?

Death penalty is a moot point -- NY has had it in theory, but no one has been executed since the 60s (and then only for homicide, not rape).

It is a tough, the older boy is unlikely to evolve past this sort of behavior. OTOH, the victim's mother is suing the school district for what, $6 million? Yeah, that'll help.

$6Million won't accomplish near as much as a tall tree and a rope, preferably while being broadcast on national TV.

Not sure but executing a minor does not seem like the right direction for a 'civilized' nation. Perhaps that is just me. I don't know.
