Powerball

You're 84 years-old and you just won 590 million dollars. What the hell do you do with it, buy the deluxe version of the Jazzy Chair? Do you think that someone of this age is too old to really fully enjoy such a windfall?

Yeah. There should be an age limit on who can play.

I wouldn't take the twenty year payout that is for sure. Then go and buy a newer used car and try to waste the rest after doing some good things.

Isn't it ironic?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm-1xvWibt0

Hey yiah yiah Yiah yea yea Hey yiah

An old man turned ninety-eight. He won the lottery and died the next day

It's a black fly in your Chardonnay It's a death row pardon two minutes too late
Isn't it ironic... Don't you think?

It's like rain on your weddin' day. It's a free ride when you've already paid.

It's the good advice that you just didn't take

And who would've thought, it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought "Well, isn't this nice!"

And isn't it ironic Don't you think?
It's like rain on your weddin' day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take

And who would've thought, it figures

Well life has a funny way of sneakin' up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's goin' right, right
And life has a funny way nobody helpin' you out when

You think everyhing's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late
A no smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meetin' the man of my dreams
And then meetin' his beautiful wife,

umm

And isn't it ironic
Don't you think? A little too ironic
And yeah, I really do think

It's like rain on your weddin' day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
And who would've thought, it figures

And well, life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
And life has a funny, funny way of helpin' you out
Helpin' you out

I think it is great that she lives in a state with no income tax. I am sure that there are some money grabbing politicians crying about that. I could hear it now, how much they could do with seven to ten percent of that for the children. Anytime you hear a politician say it will be for the children remember that "the children" means their friends in the language they relate to.

In a way it is tragic to win money in the so called golden years. You really need money much more when young from my perspective.

Now if you are an impoverished senior citizen it may make some difference. For a fairly stable older person it would not make much of a difference really. Some for sure but not much in comparison.

Put it in a trust so you don't get nailed with estate taxes and start thinking about who your going to leave it to and how.

Never, better odds of us as individuals walking on the moon almost. Or at least this is what I thought when the larger paying tickets first came on the scene.

Of course life in many ways is a throw of the dice so to speak. No argument or discussion there.

When the pot gets so big, it's annoying that the 4-5 number winners get the standard relatively piddling amount. All the payoffs should go up after the pot grows over $300 million or so.
