Check out the price for this 89' 560SL

Found this on Ebay while I was browsing. The KBB says $16k but look at this car's price.(the reserve isn't even met!)

1989 Mercedes 560SL on Ebay

Found this 1991 560SEC also. Man I wish I could get this car.

From the pics, it looks worth like its worth 30k plus. The 560SEC is great looking too.

That 560SEC has been on ebay for months - I remember seeing it over the summer with the same "I'm a retired used car dealer.." info.

I don't know what kind of price that guy wants for the 560SEC. It's already at $18k and the reserve isn't met. $18k is already above KBB value.

KBB doesn't usually apply to unique cars, especially older ones

Wow you're right. Looking at the mbusa web site model history, the 560SEC's were about 1600 to 2000 a year. I didn't know they were that rare.

Funny you mention the 560SEC

I'm in Orlando, Fl and while driving on Fairbanks Ave. one night I saw a car lot with used/prev. owned MBs. So, just for fun I stopped by the next day. I've been looking for a 450 SLC and they had one! Unfortunately it's not my color, don't like luggage rack on back, and some other things that don't hit my fancy. It was in pristeen condition. Sitting about two cars down from the SLC was a gorgeous white 560 SEC. I couldn't help go over and look through the windows. Since I was not buying anything that day I just looked at the outside etc., but what a beautiful car. I have no idea what year or how much he's asking for it.

I got a card from the guy.. here's the info about the lot if anyone is interested. www.NortNortham.com is the website, but it mentions only Porsche. They had a good collection of MBs. If anyone is interested I'll check out the price/condition of the 560 SEC.. or if you call them and want me to look at another of their stock, I'll be gald to do it. I have to admit that I know nothing about the organization.. prices/warranties/reputation etc. Maybe if someone else in the area has had dealings with these people, we could be enlightened

It's interesting to note that the ad states how pristine the top is because the "convertible top is always up"...

...but then he/she posts two pics of the car with the top down...

...hmmmmmm

Still, it's a real nice car...just the color and condition I would have liked!
