A soul is energy,it cannot be destroyed,where it spends eternity,is either the postive side,or negative side. Earth is negative ,the sun is positive,to be reclaimed by the sun,then broadcast like seed, to a new life is the ultimate experince.

I understand the new covenant. Given the context of the little story I told, it's not the correct response unless you believe the Constitution of the United States is based on Leviticus. Do you?

At least for those Christians who broke away from Judaism and started a new independent religion. Not all early Christians were interested in abolishing Judaism to establish a new religion.

I always thought the dietary stuff was more because of health issues of the day.

It made good sense not to eat pork given the fact it can kill you if not properly cooked. Beef and lamb is a bit more forgiving.

"Made" is the past tense and accurate. It made sense once upon a time but today we outgrew that problem, just like we should with religious superstition but haven't done.
