Those that put their faith in science alone are following science as a religion. Science has given us the big bang theory, yet it hasn't been proven. Science has given us many theories that haven't been proven, yet are taught in public schools. That basis alone is enough to warrant bringing a mandatory course into the public schools that teach religious beliefs and their backgrounds and origins.

You have all the time in the world to teach your kids your religion at home. If we bring the teaching of religious beliefs into schools, aren't you concerned that the government (You know, that same government that you mistrust?) will screw it all up? It is the government you know - how can we trust them to properly indoctrinate your children? Suppose that your children are Pentecostal and the school accidentally begins to teach them the Jewish religion?!? Oy vey!!!
