For those who don't know, Hamtramck is a small city surrounded by Detroit. It has the same economic challenges and crime problems that Detroit has.

But unlike Detroit, most merchants have armed themselves and instead of 30 min - two hour response time for police calls, Hamtramck averages a 30 second response time.

I worked for a great guy a long time ago that grew up in Hamtramck. He described it as a miserable place to grow up in, but he brought a few lifelong friends from there and they were all great guys and all were extremely successful. Those guys were such good people that it made me have doubts about Hamtramck being such a miserable place.
