I was trying to recall the last time that I had a meal at a chain restaurant, then I realized that I really didn't want to remember.

Sorry, but I have to agree that dining dollars are better spent

1) At well run locally owned and operated restaurants, not chains, where the staff actually prepares food, rather than opening a bag of sauce or base; and

2) Where the flooring doesn't intentionally include sawdust or peanut shells.

I would go to Texas Roadhouse now and then about six or seven years ago because Willie was a part owner. I am not sure if he still is.

If I eat out now it had better be quite enough to hear a pin drop. I hate to have to shout during a conversation.

I had a very tasty margarita at Texas Roadhouse. Food left no memorable impression. I was afraid the margarita was too chemical so it is not something I would make a regular. I avoid corporate food as a rule.

I've eaten at a TX Roadhouse but not a Logan's. I assume that's a regional chain?

The TX Roadhouse was ok. Not great, not bad. Good enough food in decent portions at a decent price. If I was hungry and happened to be passing by one at the time I'd probably stop again, although I don't know that it would be a targeted destination unless someone had their heart set on it.

Corporate "food" sucks. Fast. Slow. Sit down theme restaurants. All of it.

I'd rather have a steak made by me at my house than to eat a over salted piece of flavorless gack.

Seriously...the sodium level in foods from chain places is astronomical.

Roadhouses have been good so far. One wasn't but it soon shaped up. I really don't care whether it is processed or whether it is sauce that is premade. If it tastes good and the price is right for what it offers, I'm in. If not, I'm out.
