Cars that you once didn't like but like now

Starting this in contrast to the http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/open-discussion/342359-cars-you-once-liked-but-dont-now.html thread. What cars did you once dislike but now enjoy? For me, I used to assume that the old 'Benzes had the same reliability problems that Consumer Reports said the new ones have, and so I was not a fan until I happened to read something on the W124 where I saw it said that the cars are very long-lasting. I also used to have an aversion for GM products in general, but have really come to like the Buick.

Ferraris. I used to think they were expensive toys, fragile and silly. Now I think they are expensive toys but rugged and amazingly sporty.

The 1976 Dodge Aspen 4 door sedan. This was one of the vehicles that I drove in high school and, at the time, I despised the over-assisted power steering, nautical suspension tuning, and underachieving 318. Today? Well, as I advance at a frenetic pace towards my dotage, maybe that plushy ride and easy power steering wasn't so bad after all.

If going that road i would suggest considering the mgb v8 as well. The aluminum v8 is a huge improvement and not much if any weight penalty.

Mazda Miata.

Not so much that I hated them before I drove one, just had zero interest. Now I can't imagine not owning one (or more ) early examples at any point in my lifetime.

Hummer H2.

Used to think it was a big massive, fuel hungry pig.

Now, I dig them. They are a big, soft cruiser, and get decent mileage on the freeway.

pontiac aztek.

At first I thought it was ugly, now I think its really not exceptional, even from a "bad" standpoint.

Best part is that the hatred of these cars is so powerful based on looks alone, that they can be had for super cheap and are generally a decent mechanical platform thats decently reliable and usable. Plus some of them have a 400# load limit cargo tray that slides out.
